Catherine Tyldesley, 35, headed to her local swimming pool this week to enjoy a swimming session with her four-year-old son.
The English actress, who is best known for playing Eva Price in Coronation Street, donned a low-cut blue swimsuit for a photoshoot at the pool as part of a new campaign.
The former soap star was pictured with Alfie, who she shares with her husband of almost three years Tom Pitfield, in the pool during a family swimming lesson.
The mother-of-one is supporting a campaign which encourages parents to take the plunge with their children after a recent poll by beach holiday specialist On the Beach revealed that two thirds of mums and dads are hesitant to take a dip with their children when on holiday.
As the summer holiday’s fast approach, the company are giving away bespoke family swim sessions to boost confidence and get them in the water.
Catherine enthused: “I think swimming can be one of the best confidence builders that parents can use to help their kids. I spend so much time in the pool with Alfie, he can swim circles around me!
“Helping parents to address the issues they may have around confidence in the water is so important, and could have an effect on their children later in life.”
She continued: “I urge parents to spend as much time in the water as they possibly can with their children.”
On the Beach customers will have access to 500 free #AllSwimclusive sessions at 140 local pools for groups of up to five, available to book from today until October 31 by visiting: https://www.onthebeach.co.uk/all-swimclusive.
Alan Harding, marketing director for the holiday brand, said: “Getting families swimming this summer is key for us. We want to ensure swimming, whether in the pool or sea, remains a fond childhood and family memory for all.”
