Schnatter is the founder and former CEO of Papa John’s, which previously had the naming rights to Louisville’s soccer stadium, now referred to as Cardinal Stadium. He can be a former member of Louisville’s Board of Trustees.
It is a sturdy shift by Schnatter, who was a well known Louisville fan earlier than his fall from grace. It appears his preferences have shifted to the Cardinals’ rival college.
It seems Schnatter’s presence wasn’t precisely a very good luck appeal, because the Wildcats fell to the Tigers on a controversial last-second tip-in.
