Can he bring his magic touch to the Justice League universe?
Much of the criticism of Zack Snyder’s vision, even before the divisive decision to bring in Joss Whedon to complete 2017’s Justice League, was that the tone was too dark.
Will Muschietti bring a dark horror flavour to The Flash, who is traditionally one of the lighter, brighter heroes?
Muschietti told Fandango: “An element if horror? I don’t think so.
“What captivated me about the Flash is the human drama in it. The human feelings and emotions that play in the drama [of it].
“It’s going to be fun, too. I can’t promise that there will be any horror [elements in it], really, but it’s a beautiful human story.”
Miller has previously indicated his enthusiasm for the Flash movie to follow the alternate universe Flashpoint storylines from the comic.
As yet, little is know about the plot, cast or potential release date.
Meanwhile, It Chapter Two is set to hit cinemas next week, with Muschietti warning he has intensified the horror elements from the first movie.
