A Louisiana mayor banned his metropolis from buying Nike merchandise shortly after the corporate launched an advert marketing campaign centered round Colin Kaepernick, in response to a leaked memo initially posted on Fb.

Kaepernick was each praised and criticized when he started kneeling throughout the nationwide anthem to protest police brutality and injustice in 2016.

The quarterback opted out of his contract with the 49ers in March 2017 and has not discovered work within the NFL since.
