Hardik Pandya will be part of up with India’s squad in New Zealand after the Board of Management for Cricket in India (BCCI) briefly lifted his ban.
All-rounder Pandya and worldwide team-mate KL Rahul have been suspended on January 11 following controversial feedback made on the tv present ‘Koffee with Karan’.
The BCCI lifted the “interim suspension orders” in opposition to the pair – who each apologised to the board – with rapid impact on Thursday, pending the appointment and adjudication of the board’s ombudsman.
Pandya will fly out to hitch his colleagues throughout their limited-overs tour of New Zealand, with India already 1-Zero up in a five-match ODI sequence after an eight-wicket victory in Napier on Wednesday.
After the one-dayers, the vacationers tackle the Black Caps in a trio Twenty20 fixtures.
Batsman Rahul, in the meantime, has been added to the India A squad for the rest of their one-day sequence in opposition to the England Lions.
“Hardik Pandya can be despatched to New Zealand to hitch the group on the earliest and KL Rahul will be part of the India A squad to play the final three one-day video games in opposition to England Lions,” the BCCI stated in an announcement.
