Appearing to be having none of it, his presenting partner Susanna rolled her eyes at his seemingly modest remark.
“Oh, you’re such a reluctant cover star!” she quipped.
Meanwhile, the GMB favourite also went on to explain how she would describe Piers if she had to for a dating profile.
“If, for some awful reason, Piers needed to go on a dating app,” she began. “I would describe him as insufferable, opinionated, domineering, he won’t allow you to speak, he has an opinion on everything, and do you know what?
“He would be inundated with offers,” she added.
“It is unbelievable how many woman are obsessed with Piers Morgan.
“I get so much criticism from female viewers who are jealous about the fact that I get to sit next to him and they cannot bear the fact that I challenge him,” Susanna said.
Piers and Susanna have worked alongside each other on GMB since 2015.
She first started her role on the ITV show in 2014 after leaving rival morning programme BBC Breakfast.
The pair are currently taking a break from hosting duties to enjoy some time off over the summer holiday.
However, their absence hasn’t stopped Piers having an active outlet for his opinions.
Branding remainers “democracy-destroyers” in view of his 6.8 million followers, he addressed the Prime Minister’s decision to ask the Queen to suspend Parliament.
“Remoaners intent on thwarting the result of the democratic EU referendum are FURIOUS at Prime Minister Johnson moving to prologue Parliament – because they says it’s ‘anti-democratic’,” he tweeted.
“Awww…. suck it up democracy-destroyers.”
