Watson has been positioned in Stage 2 of the NHL/NHLPA substance abuse and behavioral well being program due to alcohol abuse.
It’s unclear what incident — if there may be one — this suspension stems from.
Watson was arrested for a home violence incident along with his girlfriend in 2018. He pleaded no contest and served an 18-game suspension. His suspension was decreased from 27 video games to 18 by an unbiased arbitrator.
The Predators ahead’s girlfriend would later launch an announcement saying her “conduct and state of intoxication” led to his arrest and the June incident “was not an act of home violence.”
Watson has seven targets and 6 assists in 34 video games this yr.
