Wolverines AD needs Jim Harbaugh, John Beilein to remain at Michigan till they retire | NCAA Soccer


Jim Harbaugh and John Beilein gained’t be leaving Michigan anytime quickly. A minimum of, their athletic director hopes not.

Wolverines AD Warde Manuel stated Tuesday at a gathering of Large Ten directors he needs Harbaugh and Beilein to complete their careers on the faculty.

“I like my coaches throughout the board, love these two guys particularly,” Manuel stated [through ESPN]. “I am extraordinarily happy with the place we’re from a staffing, teaching standpoint and Jim and John are two folks that I’d like to see retire from this establishment, retire from teaching.”

Harbaugh has registered a 28-11 document whereas at Michigan. However, he has been criticized for failing to beat rival Ohio State or win a Large Ten title throughout his three seasons with the Wolverines.

Manuel stated Tuesday he supported Harbaugh.

“Jim is aware of how I really feel about him,” Manuel stated. “We have had nice conversations and I do not need him to go anyplace.”

Beilein took over the Michigan basketball program in 2007-08 and he stated he is at present negotiating a contract extension with the college. The Wolverines have made eight NCAA Tournaments and appeared in two Ultimate Fours underneath Beilein.
